Our Blockheads are excited for another morning of Week 2 The Block dawns.
Of course, there’s still a lot of work to be done over the next five days, but if they can pull it off, they’ll finally have a place to sleep besides their rapidly deflating air mattresses.

Now that’s a good motivation!
Everyone gets arrested – except Kristian and Mimi in House 5. They’re forced to spend an extra hour at McCafé as punishment for Kristian forging foreman Dan and project manager Kylie’s signature on a demolition permit yesterday.

While Kristian is punished with yet another delicious coffee made by the barista, his wife Mimi — who was unaware of the rule violation until it came to light — apologizes to foreman Dan for her husband’s mistake.

In House 1, Paige and her new hi-vis pajama set (we like it!) are having a crisis. She’s at a loss for how to complete the style of her and Jesse’s guest room this week.
Courtney and Grant are also dealing with a hole… in their budget. They overspent $15,000 on last week’s bathroom and have no idea how to make it back.
They plan to have one more awkward conversation with their builders to make sure this doesn’t become a pattern.

Meanwhile, Houses 3 and 4 are doing well. Kylie has a plan for a fancy LED headboard, and the boys are building a kids’ room with bunk beds and a gaming system. Which one will trade the tent for the top bunk?
When House 5 finally gets going, they quickly encounter a problem.
They are the only two-story house in The Blockand so they are planning the upstairs bathroom, which is right above this week’s bedroom, at the same time.
This causes a problem because Kristian didn’t take the upstairs plumbing into account when he gave Kinsman the measurements for the wardrobe and now it doesn’t fit. Luckily, Kinsman finds a solution and things can get back on track.
Kylie and Brad head to their kitchen consultancy in the city. You wouldn’t believe it, but they opt for a dark countertop, dark cabinets, dark shelves, etc. For the perfect sink, they head to the Cosentino “vault” and find the perfect gold sink. Luxurious!
Upstairs, Ricky and Haydn’s date is interrupted by Haydn’s wife Chelsea and two-week-old Matilda.
Luckily, they had already made all the important decisions in the kitchen, because who can concentrate when they have a baby to cuddle?!

“They are my family, so now being responsible for protecting Tilly is also an honor and I am very proud,” says Ricky after meeting his goddaughter for the first time.
Jesse and Paige decompress with a trip to the beach, and it does wonders for Paige’s mood. They reflect on how all the couples this season have similar vibes.
“All really strong women and men who adore their partners and would do anything for them,” says Jesse, sincerely.
Cut to Mimi, who says more bluntly, “We all have our husbands in our hands… Just kidding.”
UH OH. Kristian cut another corner with their bedroom insult and it’s not code. A bold move to make after Mimi’s ball chat!

It’s time for another uncomfortable conversation, this time between Grant and his builders.
Last week’s delays caused a ripple effect that cost him quite of money and he wants them to reduce the account to recover some of it.
He tells them that he won’t pay for four men, only two, and that they aren’t as productive as they should be. This goes… well, in a strange way, as you can see below:

Kristian’s mistake means he’s left isolated until late at night. He gets a visit from neighbor Brad, who informs him that he’s still doing it wrong. Oops. When Mimi comes to take charge, it erupts into a huge fight.
Who would have thought isolation was so dramatic!
The next morning, Mimi wakes up and wonders if she is the villain. A voice comes down from the heavens (well, it’s actually just Paige in the tent next door) to tell her that she is not.
Even after working all night, foreman Dan tells them that the work is not good enough and that there are more things to fix.
Paige’s mood plummeted. She wondered if anyone had ever noticed what a “hothead” she was.
Just in time, Scotty arrives with something to freshen things up: camp coolers full of Lite n’ Easy meals to keep our Blockheads satisfied.
Everyone is excited except Paige, who is “diving.”
She is frustrated with the Block environment “and that’s why I probably won’t be here starting tomorrow,” she tells Jesse.
She continues, turning to look at a camera in the distance: “So if you guys are listening to this, I think you should start looking for replacements, okay?
“Like, legitimately. I don’t say things I’m not going to do.”
Superman Haydn sees their tense conversation and shows up to try and save the day.
He accompanies Paige on the shopping trip so she won’t be alone—thank goodness!—and lets her vent in the car.
They bond over TV shows, ice cream, Maccas and not being interior designers.
She comes out of this with a “big brother” figure and a Happy Meal. We’d call that a success!

A “childish” detail causes a great debate among the judges.

Back at the site, Kristian forgot something once again. He failed to soundproof the horizontal and vertical sections of the upstairs bathroom drain pipe.
This has to be done in such a way that you can’t hear the toilet flushing upstairs, so Kinsman has to remove one of the cabinets to gain access.

Kristian gets there with the help of… oh no. He is using a TikTok tutorial and the wrong tape.
It’s been 84 years, but they finally pass all the inspections and get back on track. Mimi even has time to visit Jesse, who is waiting for Paige to return from her day with Haydn.
They get home and instantly the Happy Meal magic wears off. Paige’s mood plummets and is it the fault of… the East Coast of Australia? “Everyone’s so emotional, man,” she says.
She calls her mother, who is shocked to learn that Paige wants to leave.
“I don’t want to sit in a circle and kumbaya and talk about my f–king feelings when I don’t have any. I’ve pretty much already made my decision to be honest,” she says.
“I finished.”
Tomorrow night, Ricky’s crush on Shelley continues to blossom, Scotty delivers a shocking twist, and Jesse and Paige’s future is still up in the air.
Plus, Room Reveals is coming up. Will everyone break up this week? Will Shaynna get the drama she craves? Tune in to find out!
