Neighbors spoilers ahead.
Neighbors Stars Lucinda Cowden and Lucinda Armstrong Hall praised the dramatic scenes that await in the soap’s special week.
The duo’s characters, Melanie Pearson and Holly Hoyland, are among those in danger as the Australian soap airs a series of high-stakes episodes.
Melanie disappeared along with her ex-husband Toadie Rebecchi earlier this week after they found evidence of Tess Carmichael and Heath Royce’s crimes.
While their current whereabouts are a mystery, Melanie and Toadie have appeared in future spoiler images that show them being held captive in the Outback.

Meanwhile, Holly heads to the Outback for a romantic trip with her new lover Heath, unaware of the threat he may pose to her.
Speaking about the big week, Lucinda Cowden explained: “I was super excited to be involved. It’s a really unusual thing to happen in Neighbors – to go to the location and create a huge and completely different story for all of us.
“There were all sorts of difficulties and obstacles. The weather was incredibly hot – and an incredible amount of flies! It was 44 degrees every day and there was no shade.
“But our team was amazing and I think it was an adventure for all of us. I really enjoyed it.”

She continued: “Kate Kendall directed the episodes and she was totally amazing. I just don’t know how she does it. The cinematographer [Director of Photography] Also – we had so many fantastic crew members who made it really spectacular. Everyone brought their A-game to these episodes and raised the stakes.
“It was great fun for us because it’s not making cups of tea and chatting at The Waterhole, it’s something completely different. For all of us actors, we love getting our teeth into something new and exciting.”
Meanwhile, Lucinda Armstrong Hall addressed Holly’s storylines, which have been taking a darker turn in recent months.
Holly has recently been kidnapped by the dangerous doctor Gavin Bowman, responsible for a series of poisonings in Erinsborough.

Now, it seems likely that history will repeat itself if Holly’s time in the Outback with Heath continues to go wrong.
Lucinda Armstrong Hall said: “The mix of emotions is something I was fortunate to be able to explore in Neighbors with Holly. She has a funny and comedic side, but also gets involved in the drama and intense storylines.
“To be able to explore both elements and explore that range in the show is a privilege. I love doing the dramatic scenes, but I also love doing the comedy.
“Outback Week was definitely nothing like I’ve ever experienced on the show before. It felt like we were filming an indie movie or something.
“It was a really cool filming experience and I think that’s reflected in the episodes. The work that everyone did was tremendous. I think it’s going to be pretty spectacular.”
Neighbors‘ big week – titled ‘Death in the Outback’ – will culminate in the death of a character.
Neighbors releases new episodes Monday to Thursday for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs Monday to Thursday at 4pm on Channel 10, with a repeat showing at 6:30pm on 10 Peach Comedy.
